I had no problem: it had a WordPerfect logo and opened in WP.

I'd suggest that we all agree on 1 standard format since we all don't have
Word, WordPerfect, Clarisworks - let alone all the same version.

Why not send all stuff in RTF format - rich text format. That way most of
the formatting survives the transfer.

The only problem is that it takes another step to open:

1. open your word processor
2. browse to the file and select open

It *usually* works
