Since I'm preparing a presentation for NCaect in Raleigh, March 5, I am
doubly excited over the new look of the Learning Page. It is so much
easier to access the lessons we Fellows have developed. When we presented
last year, we found that the lessons are of great interest to media
specialists and teachers.

Jackie Brooks and I ('97 Fellows) will focus our presentation March 5 on
our project on the Great Depression in North Carolina, but we also want to
update our audience on all the wonderful additions to the entire
Collection. We're really excited about showing off the new and improved
Learning Page, as well as the "histories" our students created as a result
of their work with the American Life Histories collection! The tough part
right now is to figure out how to do that in the hour we have to present!

Thanks to everyone responsible for the Learning Page improvements.
Deborah
