Hi,
Laura mentioned in her post that NCSS would be an opportunity for some 98
and 97 Fellows to meet. Just to let you know how much you have in common,
I'm going to post two items - one from the 97 Fellows on the last day of
the conference and one from the 98 Fellows on the last day of their
conference.

'98 - Biggest Lies About the Institute

There will be ample seating at the LC breakfast.

Slow down, but could you fill this form out right away. It'll only take a
minute!

Don't worry, you'll get out early on Wednesday.

It only takes a couple of hours a week to do this stuff.

Don't worry, Windows ‘95 is just like a Mac.

It's not thaaaaat cold in the hotel.

The hotel is air conditioned for your comfort.

We're going to keep right on schedule

It's only a short walk from the Metro.

You will learn authentic Contra dancing!

Classroom teachers are from Mars, librarian / media specialists are from
Venus.

This will be your week to nail down your unit.

Please post your feedback, it will only take a minute

Computers will be available at night (yah right/as if...).

You'll have time to do this later.

There is not a great divide / There is a great divide.

And from the 97 Fellows: Top Ten List

#10 - They are working on the printers.

#9 - Save....breathe; save......breathe

#8 - If it were a mac, I could do this!

#7 - There's no pressure to get a lesson done by Friday - - Have you posted
yet?

#6 - We're making adjustments to the schedule.

#5 - You've not given me a concrete example (Dr. Billington).

#4 - Parachute into the minefield.

#3 - We promise there will be coffee after lunch.

#2 - Friday, I promise there will be an administrative moment.

#1 - Welcome to the Library of Last Resort.

We look forward to seeing ALL of you. As for explanations of the above,
you'll have to find out from each other!

Judy
