Objectives

Students will interpret articles and editorials from newspapers in order to understand the migrants' relationship to political issues of the Great Depression.

• Students will use the Voices from the Dustbowl scrapbook and a "How to Analyze a News Article" worksheet to analyze a newspaper article to understand the migrants' relationship to political issues of the Great Depression

• Students will use a "How to Analyze a Song" worksheet to understand the point of view of those who lived during the Great Depression
