Journal Collection. Massive site that contains digital library
of primary sources in American social history from the antebellum period
through reconstruction. The collection contains approximately 1,600 books

When you find something you want to look at, you will see a scanned image
of the actual pages of the19th century volume.

A small group within the larger collection includes about 900 Mammoth Plate Photographs taken by William Henry Jackson alongseveral railroad lines in the United States and Mexico in the 1880s and 1890s.
